Jaguar Nickel is an underground zinc-copper-silver-gold development project that is part of the Jaguar Operation, owned by Round Oak Jaguar Project Pty Ltd., a subsidiary of Washington H. Soul Pattinson and Company Ltd. Jaguar Nickel is located within the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia, approximately 60 kilometers north of Leonora and 300 kilometers north of Kalgoorlie.
Work on the Definition Phase Study for the development of the Triumph resource at the Jaguar Operation commenced and was completed during 2019. Triumph has the potential to both increase production capacity and extend the life of the Jaguar Operation beyond its current four-year mine life.
Royal Gold holds a 1.5% net smelter return royalty on gold production from the Jaguar Nickel Project.
Royal Gold acquired this royalty as part of its acquisition of International Royalty Corporation, which was completed on February 22, 2010.
